Moving in the Fale w/ Lyncia Müller and 'Isope 'Akau'ola

Moving in the Fale with Lyncia Muller and 'Isope 'Akau'ola

Open Ocean Online | Virtual Event Series

Lyncia Müller and 'Isope 'Akau'ola are two artists that embody the kaupapa of the Tautai Faleship. Utilising their creative form of dance both artists created works that speak to fale and family exploring the vā, the space between the creative workplace and sense of physical and spiritual home. These two innovators will discuss their practice, what drives them out into the world and what provokes them to seek home, the place to simply be.

Lyncia Muller is a Tongan (Nuku’alofa, Fatai, Lakeoa) contemporary artist who is passionate about dance, theatre and exploring her cultural roots.

‘Isope ‘Akau’ola is an emerging talent offering a distinctly Tongan perspective to choreography and performing arts.
