Lady Shaka (Māori / Tahitian / Samoan / Tokelauan / Tongan / Cape Verdean) is an interdisciplinary artist who draws from her mixed heritage, ancestral linkages and identity as a fem queen to create art. She is the director of global Pasifika collective ‘Pulotu Underworld' and is known internationally for her work as a DJ. Her short film Exotic Savage: The Decolonisation has been featured in 3 exhibitions in the UK and France and continues to re-write the Pacific narrative constantly challenging the perception of Tangata Moana.

This multi - sensory artwork incorporates poetry, dance, film, installation and participatory performance art to weave together narratives of (de) colonialism while celebrating my layered heritage and stories of those in our communities.
