Sani Muliaumaseali’i!

Aotearoa-born, Samoan art exponent Sani Muliaumaseali’i has appeared in opera and most forms of musical theatre, film, radio and television globally. He trained in operatic singing at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Australia under Harry Coghill. Sani has worked for the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, English National Opera, Dutch National Opera and others. As co-founder, artistic director and producer for London’s first Samoan arts collective, GAFA Arts Collective (2011), Sani has been prolific in re-shaping the traditional Western art genre to reflect Indigenous ancestral roots.

Sani has written, produced, directed and composed multiple works under GAFA. For his 2020 Tautai Fale-ship Residency, Sani presented a stirring rendition of ‘Make Them Hear You’ from the musical Ragtime, recorded live from the relative safety of his bathroom.
